The Discover Yoga Program

This ten day program is designed to introduce you to a range of different styles, levels and tempos of yoga classes so that you can find what works for you! There is something here for everyone, and nothing for everyone, which means that if you have a stronger practice you might find it difficult to sit through the slower classes but if you are more Yin by nature then the stronger classes will challenge you. It’s my hope that you come emerge from this program knowing more about what you love and what you don’t.


 

Day 1

INTENTION SETTING & GENTLE YOGA

Ease into your day/week/year with this 30 minute video including a meditation to help you set intentions and gentle yoga.


Day 2

HEARTY VINYASA YOGA

Today is all about the feel good! Expect delicious spinal flows and heart opening movements to release tension and build mobility using strength. I hope this video will energise and uplift you.


Day 3

CORE INTELLIGENCE

Today we are focusing on better understanding our own core strength. We'll activate the trunk in multiple areas to help you hone in your own strengths and weaknesses, so that you can work out smarter the next time you hit the gym.


Day 4

YOGA TO BUILD UPPER BODY STRENGTH

Today we're focussed on building strength in the arms, shoulders and core to create a firm foundation for your body as you progress in your practice.


Day 5

YOGA TO STRETCH & RELEASE

This 30 minute video will give you a feel good, deep stretch with a focus on the lower body. Great for everyone, any time to help you maintain or improve your flexibility.


Day 6

RESTORATIVE YOGA WITH A BOLSTER

Deep Chill! Grab a bolster or a few pillows, your fluffiest socks and get ready to sink into softness.


Day 7

YOGA FOR HIP FLEXIBILITY

Today is all about the hips. Working so deeply like this into the hips can feel really great, but a lot of us have very tight hips so be sure never to force anything and ease your way in to every posture slowly, using the breath.


Day 8

EVERY DAY POWER FLOW

Get moving with this Power Yoga class that's good any day of the week to get you moving, stretching, strengthening and will breath some life into your limbs.


Day 9

30 MINUTE YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga for the stomach and spleen meridians ie. a focus on the trunk. When we apply healthy stress (both compression and tension) on our joints we make our bones and ligaments stronger so they last longer - can I get an Amen! PLUS creating and sustaining tension in Yin yoga improves our flexibility. In Chinese medicine it is also believed that activating these meridian lines can also aid digestion and combat feelings of anxiety and worry. You may occasionally hear some strange groaning noises, stick around until the end to see where they are coming from. I wanted to film a yoga video, he wanted to go for a walk!


Day 10

BEGINNERS MEDITATION

This is a guided mindfulness meditation that is ideal for those just getting started on their meditation journey and struggling to find stillness.
