MEET YOUR TEACHER

My name is Kat and I live in Bristol, in the UK. I have been practising yoga for over ten years, teaching for five in England, Europe, Africa and Asia and have accumulated over 500hrs of training in a variety of disciplines and specialities. My journey to teaching prenatal yoga has been a deeply personal one, that gave me a unique insight into how powerful this process is and how great of an opportunity pregnancy is for learning and growth. I’m so excited that you’re joining me; I want to help you feel amazing in your gorgeous, pregnant body and prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for the rollercoaster of pregnancy, birth, early motherhood.

“I wanted to create an inclusive and inviting platform for mums and mums-to-be where “how” you show up is not important, only that you do. I meet you in my (your) living room as often as you’d like and all of these classes are suitable for all levels, even if you’ve never done yoga before.”

But don’t just take my word for it…

“Having not done a lot of yoga previously, I found Kat’s prenatal videos extremely accessible and easy to follow and adapt. She provides such a comfortable space to practice with her positive energy and open-minded approach. I felt confident to modify movements as my pregnancy progressed with her guidance and enjoyed exercising right through until the end of the third trimester.”

- Melyssa P.

“I really enjoyed doing Prenatal Yoga with Kat during my pregnancy. Not only did it help me keep moving when I sometimes didn't want to (hello tiredness!) but it also helped me relieve my pregnancy symptoms like leg cramps and upper back ache. It became a really important part of my birth preparation as it included breathing techniques that I could practice to help me through pregnancy and birth. At the start of the course Kat recommended getting a bolster and it has made a world of difference to my yoga practice and my day to day life. Kat is such a warm and kind teacher I couldn't recommend her enough!”

- Nicola P.

“I started the pregnancy course (included in lifetime access and Moviing subscription) Kat was offering around 20 weeks pregnant and it was exactly what I was looking for. Each week focused on something slightly different from strengthening exercises to relaxation (which I really liked!) and most importantly incorporating your pelvic floor into everyday movements (we all know is important but don’t always do!). I found doing the course gave me the time to focus on me, my body and my baby. I also found Kat really supportive and provided alternatives to when things became more of a struggle towards the end of pregnancy. I managed to carry on until around 39 weeks pregnant and have just stated some of the post natal classes. I found the course really useful during labour (the breathing exercises) and in the first few weeks post labour doing some of the simple pelvic floor exercises to help my recovery. I really enjoyed the course and if you are pregnant I would really recommend it!”
